The Team Behind Triple R

At Triple R Equine, every decision we make is guided by our commitment to horse-first care, integrity, collaboration, and excellence in equine sports medicine.

Exceptional veterinary care starts with knowing the horse, understanding the goals, and working together. Our team is committed to providing thoughtful, performance-focused care with an emphasis on soundness, longevity, and the individual needs of every horse we treat.

Whether caring for a competitive equine athlete or supporting a horse through everyday health needs, we bring the same level of attention, expertise, and commitment to every patient. Rooted in faith, integrity, and collaboration, we believe the best results come from a true partnership between veterinarian, owner, trainer, and the entire team surrounding the horse.

  • Matthew Reynolds, DVM

    PRACTICE OWNER & VETERINARIAN

Born and raised on Triple R Dairy, a family-owned farm in Tennessee, Dr. Reynolds quickly learned that hard work, dedication, and stewardship of animals were a way of life. The business was built and operated by three generations of the Reynolds family—his father, grandfather, and uncle—instilling in Dr. Reynolds a deep appreciation for agriculture, family values, and the bond between people and animals.

Growing up immersed in livestock care inspired Dr. Reynolds to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. On May 11, 2001, his dream became a reality when he graduated with his DVM degree from The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Today, he is an equine veterinarian with over 25 years of experience in the profession, earning a reputation for his expertise in equine sports medicine. Throughout his career, he has been committed to helping horses perform at their highest level while maintaining their long-term health and soundness.

Dr. Reynolds has extensive experience working with elite equine athletes across a wide range of disciplines. His practice has served hunter/jumpers, three-day eventers, dressage horses, and other performance horses, providing comprehensive diagnostics, treatment, and rehabilitation tailored to the unique demands of each sport. His practical, horse-first approach and commitment to advancing equine health have made him a trusted veterinarian among riders, trainers, and owners alike.

Drawing on the work ethic and values he learned on his family’s dairy farm, Dr. Reynolds continues to combine decades of hands-on experience with a passion for equine performance medicine. His career reflects a lifelong dedication to the health, well-being, and success of the horses entrusted to his care.

  • Olivia Reynolds

    ASSISTANT

Growing up around horses has been a natural part of Olivia’s life. At just 16 years old, she has already spent more than a decade riding, competing, and learning the responsibility and dedication that come with caring for horses.

Olivia began riding at age five and spent many years competing on the A Circuit in the Hunter/Jumper discipline. Her experiences both in and out of the show ring taught her valuable lessons in horsemanship, commitment, and, above all, putting the horse’s well-being first.

Today, Olivia lives and works alongside her family on their small horse farm, where she helps care for their three horses. From feeding and grooming to their day-to-day needs, she understands that keeping horses healthy and happy is an ongoing responsibility. As the daughter of an equine veterinarian, she has also grown up around veterinary medicine and has had the opportunity to see firsthand the trust and relationships veterinarians develop with horses and their owners.

Although Olivia has traded the show ring for the stage, her love of horses remains an important part of her life. She is passionate about theater, acting, and singing, and spends much of her time pursuing those interests.

Olivia is excited to be part of Triple R Equine and to contribute to the practice while continuing to stay connected to the equine community. Her years of experience with horses give her a genuine understanding of the clients and families who place their trust in the practice, and she looks forward to helping wherever she can—both behind the scenes and, when needed, in the field.
